We prepare conservation plan packages that describe the property, agricultural use, existing conditions, planned site activities, resource concerns, conservation practices, and maintenance responsibilities.
Plans may support:
Soil and Water Conservation District review
Lease or landowner requirements
Agricultural site preparation
NRCS/EQIP Support
Farm planning and layout
Conservation practice implementation
We visit the property to document current conditions, planned agricultural use, slope, drainage, erosion concerns, ground cover, access roads, irrigation needs, and sensitive areas such as gulches, streams, ditches, roads, neighboring homes, wells, or wetland areas.
We help prepare or review:
Aerial maps
Soil maps
Property/TMK information
Field and crop area maps
Planned disturbance areas
Drainage flow directions
BMP and conservation practice locations
We can help prepare the conservation plan package for Soil and Water Conservation District review and assist with follow-up questions, revisions, and presentation support.
Common recommendations may include:
Mulching
Cover crop or permanent ground cover
Field borders
Filter strips
Critical area planting
Drainage swales or grassed waterways
Farm road stabilization
Irrigation water management
Nutrient and pest management BMPs
Temporary erosion and sediment control during site work
808 Land Planners can assist agricultural producers with selected NRCS conservation practice support where the work matches our current Technical Service Provider certifications. This may include helping producers understand conservation practice options, organize site information, prepare supporting documentation, and coordinate with NRCS staff.
NRCS program eligibility, ranking, contracting, payment rates, and final approval are determined by NRCS. Applications are ranked, and if funded, NRCS offers an EQIP contract for financial assistance to implement conservation practices
808 Land Planners does not provide engineering, surveying, legal advice, construction services, boundary determinations, drainage engineering, building permit services, or guaranteed agency approval. Projects involving major grading, stream work, retaining walls, culverts, reservoirs, building pads, septic systems, or non-agricultural development may require additional professional review.
